While taking the dogs outside to use the bathroom, I observed a single ball of white light emerge from behind a prominent geographical feature (Red Rock Point). The light moved west to east at a moderate rate of speed along a horizontal path. It appeared to be flying at a height of approximately 2500 feet as it was above Red Rock (which is 2000+ ft). The orb continued along its path until it simply appeared to fade out. However, as I continued to watch the area of night sky, 2 separate lights appeared and followed a similar track while producing absolutely no discernible sound. As the orbs flew, multiple airplanes were also observed flying typical flight paths with blinking red/white lights and producing obvious sound. Also, random meteors were observed during this time, but they were fast-moving, pale to light green, and the majority that were observed moved from NE to SW, with random paths that quickly burned out/dissipated. I went inside to get my son so he could observe with me. Over the ensuing hour, we observed at least 20 separate incidents of lights appearing to originate as a faint flicker in a certain region of the sky, starting to move toward the east/north-east, getting brighter as it moved toward another region of the night sky before appearing to 'blink out' or disappear. There were never more than two orbs visible at any one time, but the activity was consistent, with orbs appearing every 5-10 minutes. The region of sky where these orbs appeared to originate was just below and to the left of the Big Dipper. This event occurred from approximately 11:05-11:57 pm and was accompanied by intermittent lights appearing below the tree level and along the ridge of Red Rock. Those lights were far too large to be 'lightning bugs' as we were approximately 1/2 mile from the plateau and could still easily see the lights appear and move along the 'mountain' before winking out. This could also absolutely not be people as the terrain is too steep and rugged for anyone to cover the amount of distance that the lights did before going out. Also, the 'mountain' is privately owned with access restricted by the owner. Further, there had been no storms in our area on this particular date. It was a very strange circumstance that left us puzzled by what we observed. The orbs in the sky were round in shape and were off-white to light green/blue, and from our perspective, their size changed as they emerged, flew toward a specific area, and then winked out. Having lasted for almost an hour and emerging over and over in the same area, and never more than two at a time, we concurred that this was not likely planes or Starlink. Thank you for your time and review of this submission.
