8:45 pm st louis mo. Near airport,(5 miles), while watching sky and common flight pattern of incoming airliners saw what looked like a ballon at first following plane on the right side. This could not be as it was same height and moving at identical speed for about 10 seconds until fading over home. Some what opaque almost see thru.
