My girlfriend and I are on an extended camping trip in the mountains, 25 miles due South of Bly, Oregon (on juniper mountain). It was a very clear night with very little light pollution, all the stars were out and you could clearly make out the milky way. I left the camper to grab something out of the car around 9pm (I didn't think to check the time), and looked towards the east (directly over Barns Rim) to admire what I thought was the rising moon. I had to do a double-take when I realized it was not in fact the moon, but a horizontal line of 4 or 5 tightly packed lights that were glowing bright orange/yellow, almost like they were on fire. The lights were stationary like they belonged to the same vehicle/craft. I watched it for nearly 5 seconds before the lights simultaneously started to dim until they weren't visible anymore. I had to take several second to comprehend what I had just seen, and suddenly the lights blinked back on. It was still in the same place, and the lights hadn't changed position or color. It stayed lit up for nearly 10 seconds, and started to dim again. It was dark within 5 seconds. That was the last time I saw it, but I stayed up for several hours combing the sky for anything else weird (Im very familiar with planes and satellites in the sky's out here too). This was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had!
