Standing on the porch listening to an animal stuck in the gutter at night of one of our apartment buildings, then after standing there for a few I noticed a plane flying, but in front of the plane I saw a flashing light, it flashed twice then disappeared, shortly after a huge "M" shaped wispy mist with numerous tiny dimmed lights almost transparent floated like a ghost across the sky at a low altitude it seemed, once it reached the glow of the moon from our angle it went invisible and was gone it also was extremely quiet no noise. All three of my family members witnessed this event.
