Witness Account
My wife and kids saw a bright light with light tailing behind it. The object seemed stationary for several moments until it slowly became apparent that it was moving. The light trails turned and descended slowly beyond the horizon as we moved to follow its trajectory past our trees.

Corresponds to a Space Falcon 9 launch out of Vandenberg at 6:09 pm on the same date. Easy to look up.
Agreed. As I am literally 400 miles away from Vandenburg and never seen a rocket launch, and not at all a follower of launches or heard of Falcon 9 or knew that Vandenburg did satellite launches since all those I thought to be in Florida, before it was a pretty unusual sight to behold.
