This happened when I was probably around 11 or 12 years old. I don’t remember the exact date, but it has stuck with me my whole life.

I had a friend sleeping over and we were woken by what I thought at the time was a small earthquake. There was really loud humming vibration, and the windows were shaking a little bit. And when it stopped, I decided to look out the window.

I lived outside of Gaston, Oregon, and from my window, the view was a big wheat field and then there was a group of trees that was an old cemetery.

There was a huge round orb, ball of light that was orange and yellow, and it looked like a super full moon. It was hovering above the trees and cemetery. I decided to go outside and see it because I just thought it was a full moon. When I got outside and looked behind the house I saw the actual moon and that’s when I realized something weird was happening.

The orb was there for only a few seconds, and then it made one fast, jerking move up in the sky and then the second one it was just gone.

When I told my parents, they said that it was just a small earthquake, and I was probably dreaming. But I have never forgotten that encounter.
