What looked like a bright star had flashing/blinking lights. Every 10 or 20 seconds lights seemed to shoot out from the "star" and then stop, almost like along a wing. These were white or blue (I honestly couldn't tell!) They shot from around the entire "star" so it definitely wasn't a far away plane. I watched it for about 10 minutes to make sure I was really seeing the lights and it wasn't just my eyes.
