Ascending Glowing Orange Object - Venice, Florida

My brother and I spotted a strange heavy orange glowing object around 8 or 9pm. It looked like it had somewhat of a tail, streaking upward. We thought it was most likely a meteor, but not sure how it would appear like it was ascending instead of descending. Venice Florida.
