At about 10:05 pm I noticed a bright red object in the north east sky moving southward. It seemed to be trailing 4-5 red, fire like trails from behind. I wondered if a plane was on fire. No sound was evident or contrails seen. After a few seconds the red color disappeared and only one white light was seen. After a few more seconds this also disappeared. I continued to watch object and could see its shadow still moving in a southward direction briefly until I lost sight of it. This was seen in direction of the Kennedy space center so perhaps something associated with them.
