Heading south on exit 95. We look out the passenger side window and there was an object clearly moving fast through the atmosphere. We believe it was some sort’ve meteor or fireball. But the object split into 2 then there looked to be a bunch of smoke surrounding the area in the sky. The object turned from blue to red after like 15 seconds it split. One continued in a direction that could be perceived as north I-95 highway. The other disappeared until we looked straight ahead.
While we were driving we saw what looked like 2 orange/red balls of light in the sky that descended over the tree line/ horizon ahead of us. Couldn’t tell how far away it was when the light disappeared over the tree line.
